about me

That's me!
Hello! I'm Allie, a New Jersey native with a lifelong passion for art as well as math and science. I explored various visual mediums throughout high school, including drawing, painting, and sculpture. I then decided to challenge myself by pursuing a Civil Engineering degree at Cornell University, graduating in 2017. After spending four years in Ithaca immersed in problem sets, calculus, and concrete, I ventured to California to start my career.
Out west, I embarked on an exciting journey in the commercial water feature industry, initially as a project engineer at a design-build firm specializing in show fountains (yes, like the Bellagio). While also producing technical drawings for various water features and themed environments, I simultaneously expanded my role into show programming, leading fountain choreography efforts nationwide. This experience ignited my passion for blending artistry with technology, creating immersive experiences through carefully crafted shows. My shows can still be viewed across the country, exciting children and adults alike.
Eager for new challenges, I transitioned into UX design to explore the intersection of problem-solving and creativity. UX provides the perfect platform for leveraging my technical skills and artistic flair, allowing me to continue growing and learning in a field that thrives on curiosity.
My hobbies outside of design include hiking, skiing, fitness, equestrian activities, lacrosse, anything Harry Potter, and spending time with dogs. I also maintain a commission-based art business in my spare time, drawing and painting all sorts of things (mostly dogs) for family and friends.
